About us

The people behind Sursock

The kitchen team preparing lunch service

Café Sursock started in 2011 with one van and a list of neighbours who needed help. We still work the same way: turn up when we say, explain what is wrong in plain language, and charge what we quoted.

Today we are a team of six covering Beirut and the surrounding area. Most of our work still comes from people passing our name on, which is the only kind of marketing we have ever really trusted.

If something we fitted fails inside the guarantee period, we come back and sort it. No arguing, no invoice.

How we work

Three things we do not compromise on

  • Local, and staying local

We live here too. You will see the same faces on the second visit.

  • Licensed and insured

Fully certified and covered by public liability insurance. Ask and we will send the paperwork.

  • No surprise invoices

The number we quote is the number you pay, unless you ask us to do more.

Reviews

What customers say

Real feedback from people in the neighbourhood.

  • We came for breakfast at eleven and left at three. Nobody rushed us once, and the bill was less than I expected.

    Layal Chahine

    Regular, Mar Mikhael

  • Booked the back room for my mother's birthday. Fourteen people, four of them fussy, and every plate came out right.

    Tarek Bou Nassif

    Achrafieh

  • The taouk is the best in Beirut and I will argue with anyone about it. The hummus is not far behind.
